About PuppySleeper

PuppySleeper is run by Wes Nagel, with help from his dog Murray.

We built this site for one kind of person: the puppy owner who is wide awake at 2am, googling "why is my puppy crying in the crate." We wanted a place with straight answers — what's normal at each age, what usually causes the problem, what to try tonight, and when it's time to call the vet.

How we write our guides

• We're puppy owners, not professionals. We're not veterinarians or certified dog trainers, and we won't pretend to be.
• We lean on reputable sources like the American Kennel Club and veterinary organizations, and we link to them so you can check.
• We flag health issues clearly. Sleep problems are sometimes medical. Every guide says when a symptom means it's time to call your vet.
• We keep guides up to date and note the date each one was last updated.
